To me $102 is still exactly that -$102 hard earned dollars that
will give me a tank and a half of petrol that lasts me 12 -14
days so it is not to be sneezed at.
Provided you NEVER take less than
$2.50, your $102 will fund the following series
of 9 bets:

At any time there is a collect in this sequence you end up in
front.
If you go nine bets without a winner - (and don’t forget
you can bet a place, again provided it is better than $2.50) -
abandon ship and start again.
The $102 is lost and best forgotten!
No
staking plan can make up for plainly poor selections.
