1997 Horse Racing System

Here are the basic rules of a system that was widely sold in the mid 1990's that claimed a win strike rate of about 28%, a place strike rate of 53% and a level stakes profit of about 90%. ( It averaged about 3 bets a week over the trial period of 2 years so obviously a system for the very very patient). It operated only on metro meetings.

1. The only horses to be considered are those that have the best win percentage in a race IF it is over 30% and IF their win and pace percentages total more than 70% and IF their win and place percentages are NOT the same and IF they have started at least 4 times in their career.

2. In pre post markets (substitute 5 minutes before start in these days of TAB internet betting?) any contender should not be less than $4 and no more than $26

3. Eliminate any contender with 4 last start wins in a row since a spell if they have had more than 10 starts in their career.

4. Eliminate any remaining horse that hasn't started in the last 28 days.

5. Any horse that has had more than 30 lifetime starts is eliminated.

6. Any remaining contender must have one of the following form guide lines:

11
1x1
221
21255555
122
123
132
231
213
