Comic CourtComic Court was foaled in 1945 and was by Powerscourt out of the mare Witty Maid (by Anton King)

From 54 starts he had 28 wins, 11 seconds and 3 thirds and won £48,579.

His main wins were in the 1948 VRC Derby, 1948 VRC St Leger, Memsie Stakes in 1949 and 1950, 1949 Craiglee Stakes, Turnbull Stakes in 1949 & 1950, Mackinnon Stakes in 1949 and 1950, St George Stakes in 1950 and 1951, 1950 Alister Clark Stakes, 1950 Caulfield Stakes, 1950 Melbourne Cup, 1951 William Reid Stakes, 1951 C F Orr Stakes and 1951 Chipping Norton Stakes.

He won the 1950 Melbourne Cup carrying 59.5 kg by three lengths in the Australasian record time of 3 minutes 19½ seconds.

Retired to stud in 1951, Comic Court had one notable offspring (from Chiquita) in Comicquita who finished second in the 1962 Melbourne Cup.
