Even Stevens was foaled in 1957 and was by Fairs Fair out of the mare Amaroo (by Gold Nib)

He also won the Caulfield Cup that year and took an estimated half a million pounds from the doubles bookmakers after being very well supported.

He won 8 races in total, including the Werribee Cup, and £43,895 in prize money. he was leased to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth , the Queen Mother, but prior to sailing for England, suffered an accident in training which necessitated his retirement from racing.

He was retired to stud New Zealand 1963 and died in 1975.
