THE RULES:

Operates on Sydney & Melbourne metro races

Use only in 3yo handicaps, 3 & 4yo handicaps, welters, open handicaps and weight for age races. Ignore all other races.

Eliminate any horse that hasn’t won at the distance or been placed on the track

Eliminate any horse that hasn’t started in the previous 21 days

In WFA and welter races any contender must be 5 years old or less

In open handicaps the horse must be 7 or less

If today’s race is 1200 or less, its last start must have been 1000-1400m

If today’s race is 1201 to 1400 its last start must have been 1200-1600m

If today’s race is 1401 to 1600 its last start must have been 1400-1800m

If today’s race is 1601 to 1700 its last start must have been 1400-2000m

If today’s race is 1701 to 1800 its last start must have been 1500-2100m

If today’s race is 1801 to 1900 its last start must have been 1600-2200m

If today’s race is 1901 to 2000 its last start must have been 1600-2400m

If today’s race is 2001 to 2200 its last start must have been 1800-2600m

If today’s race is 2201 to 2600 its last start must have been 2200-3200m

If today’s race is 2601 to 3200 its last start must have been 2300-3200m

If a tie, go for the horse with most recent start

If a tie, go for the youngest horse

If a tie go for the horse with the most wins over the distance

If still a tie – give up – go to the next race
