Racehorse Lacka Reason was foaled in 1980 and was by Sound Reason out of the mare Alack (by Busted)

His main wins in Australia were in the Group II Turnbull Stakes, The Metropolitan and he ran third in the Caulfield Cup in 1985 won by Tristarc. In New Zealand he won the Awapuni Gold Cup in 1987.
