This may be a system to identify horses
that struggle to win, even though they have seemingly good credentials.
THE RULES:
1. Operate on Saturday metropolitan races
in Sydney or Melbourne
2. Selection must be priced at more than $5.00 (4/1)
3. Selection must have won or been placed
at its last start
4. Selection must be carrying less than 53 kilograms (May need
to be upgraded to 54 kgs with increasing minimum weights)
5. Selection must be trained by this season’s top trainer
TEST RESULTS: Over a two year period ending in 2005, there were 561
selections for just 46 winners – OR LESS THAN 9%, - yet these
horses on paper seemed to have a lot going for them.
