Fingers was foaled in 1961 and was by Le Filou out of
the mare Cuddlesome (by Red Mars)
Her
main claim to fame was winning the Melbourne
Cup in 1965 by trained by Bart Cummings and ridden
by Roy Higgins.
Light
Fingers won many feature races including the VRC
Oaks 1964, and the AJC Oaks.
In
the same year, she also won the Wakeful
Stakes and the Edward Manifold Stakes.
In 1965, she won the Sandown
Guineas and Craiglee Stakes, the 1966 Sandown
Cup, and the 1968 St.
George Stakes were among her notable feature wins.
