Melbourne
Cup System
So
here is the Melbourne Cup system that has been trotted
out at Melbourne Cup time every year for the last forty
five years.
It
was devised by Tony Arnold when he worked for Racetrack
Magazine back in the 1960's and has proven to be reasonably
effective ever since.
No
recommendations are made by us in relation to this age
old method but here are the rules:
1.
The only horses to be considered are those that ran 1st,
2nd or third in these qualifying races:
Caulfield
Cup
Moonee
Valley Cup
MacKinnon
Stakes
2.
Eliminate all three year olds
3.
Eliminate the winner of the Moonee Valley Cup and replace
it with the 4th horse in that race but only IF the winner
is penalised for its win in the Cup weights
4.
Eliminate ball other horses not entered in the Melbourne
Cup
So
there are the rules. One assumes you dutch bet all qualifying
runners in the Cup.
