The yacht "Tasmania" took line honours in the 50th Sydney to Hobart yacht race in 2 days 16 hours and 48 minutes.

Morning Glory broke the Sydney to Hobart yacht race record setting a new time of 2 days 14 hours 7 minutes and 10 seconds. The previous record was held by Kialoa for many years.
