Noel Robins, sailor and 2000 Paralympic gold medallist, died aged 62.

Canberra race callerTony Campbell who called the Canberra races for 26 years died of cancer aged 58. He also called harness races including three Miracle Miles at Harold Park.

Warwick Farm trainer Guy Walter unexpectedly died of a heart attack at his home. The best horse he trained was the champion stayer Tie The Knot, which one 13 Group 1 races.
