Melbourne Cup winning racehorse Baystone had his first race start at Randwick running unplaced in the Canonbury Stakes over 5 furlongs at 7/2
Champion racehorse Baguette had his first race start at Randwick when he won the Breeder's Plate over 5 furlongs at 11/2 ridden by George Moore in the time of 60.5 seconds. That was his longest price ever in his career except for his last start in the 1972 Doncaster Handicap when he started at 10/1 and finished 15th behind Triton.
