25 was developed
by us in the latter part of 2009 and in to 2010 and was
our major research work for the first half of 2010.

*** We
did not test it on provincial,country
or metropolitan night meetings. If you wish to experiment
with it on those types of meetings, go for it, knock yourself
out, but we don't believe it will work on those meetings
unless you adjust the rules and once you start doing that
and moving from the core values, you risk the wrath of
the gambling gods! It is not nearly as effective on metro
meetings in Brisbane and Perth. Why? We rather suspect
because there is less "inter-mingling" of horses
from other States in Qld and Western Australia which dilutes
the results and makes for "tighter" dividends
and is also the reason we do not operate this in Tasmania
or the Northern Territory.

bets - 139 winners (22.49%) with an average win dividend
of $6.25
LEVEL
STAKES WIN BETTING:
If
you had started with a "bank" of $750 (Tote)
on January 1, 2010, by July 3, 2010, using a $25
flat win bet approach (3.33% of our initial
starting bank), your bank would have stood at
$7012.50 and with a
profit showing of $6262.00
That
$25 flat stake now represents about 0.4 % of our bank.
We have never increased our flat stake at any stage.
It
represents a PROFIT ON TURNOVER
of 40.53%.

For
our own peace of mind, we now are in the situation where
we would have to back 250 losers in a row just to wipe
out the profit from our our bank to leave us with
our original stake and that clearly is not going to happen.
Regular readers of articles on this site will know that
is exactly the "comfort level" style of recreational
punting we strive to achieve and have strived to achieve
for a number of years.

This is all
"set and forget" stuff - once you have the scratchings
- you have the bets. There is no progression betting here
(unwise as there was a run of outs of 25 in late January).
There can only be one selection per race and it is very
unambiguous in its methodology.
How
long does it take to do the selections? I do a whole Saturday
in about 30 minutes - and this can be done as soon as
the form is available through the RISA site (free
form) - Thursday night if you like! Mid-week metropolitan
meetings take considerably less time as there are fewer
races to consider.
By
the way, ANY decent form guide will give you the information
you require - there is nothing else to purchase.
FAQ:
Could you make even more from this if you had the
time to sit at the computer and use Betfair? Probably
but we don't really know. We have been using this a as
"run along in the background" method while we
have been doing other things. It was specifically set
up as a "set and forget" approach. We put the
bets on the Tote straight after the morning scratchings
and things just run along without any further intervention
from us. In reality, we have only scratched the surface
with this as far as betting options go but, for us, simpler
is better.

This
is NOT a "get-rich-quick-win-a-million-dollars-this-month-go-gangbusters"

USA?" No reason why it won't but, of course, we have
nothing concrete to base that on. Please note if you are
reading this from the USA the terminology is a little
different. For "metropolitan" read "major

know it's really interesting looking at the selections
and the pricing the market throws up. Small Minds a case
in point. It beats Aloha by 1.9 lengths last start, coming
HOME quite well, looking for all the world it can get
longer and in this race the market assesses it at 35-1,
with Aloha at 5-1. I suppose that is the reality of an
imperfect market, it creates opportunities. I like the
system, nice and simple and relying on known probabilities
to assert themselves over the long term, with the advantage
of capitalising on the mis-pricing of the market. Nice
Work, thanks for a great system, I won't expect last weekend
on a regular basis but it sure looks like a great no fuss
steady accumulator....I had
an excellent day
