at the Wingarra Stud in NSW, Sir Dapper was foaled in
1980 and was by Vain out of the mare Sikri (by Golden
Plume)
Some
of his main wins were the 1983 Golden
Slipper, Spring
Champion Stakes, Gloaming Stakes, Peter Pan Stakes,
Expressway Stakes, Hobartville
Stakes, Canterbury Stakes, San Domenico Stakes and
Skyline Stakes.
In
his career he totalled 18 starts for 13 wins and 4 seconds
and no thirds and prize money totalling $624,100.
After
a successful stud career he died in 1999 at Ballarat from
colic.
