Morphettville's
first race meeting was held
on 3rd September 1875. The
grandstand was extensively
redeveloped in 2002 at a
cost of 44 million. In 2009
the second track was opened
with the first meeting held
on the new "Parks"
surface on June 17. $3.6
million has been spent on
the new Inner track which
has a circumference of 2137metres,
is 25 meters in width and
has a HOME straight 327meters
in length.
