THE RULES:
1) Eliminate any
showing $21 or more with 5 minutes to go in the betting
2) 40%+ win strike rate 15 points
3) 30 to 39.9% win strike rate 8 points
4) 20 to 29.9% win strike rate 3 points
5) Other win strike rate nil
6) If this season’s win s/rate > lifetime s/rate 7 points
7) For each win in last two starts 5 points
8) For each 2nd in last two starts 3 points
9) For each 3rd in last two starts 2.5 points
10) Add up the
form figures for the last three starts:
If totals 3 - 7.5 points
If totals 4 - 12 points
If totals 5, 6 or 7 - 10.5 points
If totals 8 - 7.5 points
If totals 9 - 6 points
11) Barrier position:
Barrier 1,2, or 3 - 13.5 points
Barrier 4 and 5 - 9 points
Barrier 6 and 7 - 4.5 points
12) If first three lines of betting - 7.5 points
Top point scorer is selection. Tied? Back both if possible to show
a profit - if not, skip the race
