Vintage Crop - Australian racehorse - Melbourne Cup winner

Vintage Crop was foaled in 1987 and was by Rousillon out of the mare Overplay (by Bustino)

In his career he started 28 times for 16 wins, 3 seconds and 3 thirds and a total in prize money of $2,375,461.

His main wins were in the Melbourne Cup and Irish St Leger.

He was the first overseas-trained horse to win Australasia's greatest race.

Vintage Crop was trained by Dermot Weld, who returned to Australia in 2002 and won the Melbourne Cup with Media Puzzle.
