ratings produce a regular flow of winners priced from favourite
to 50/1 with some very long priced place getters (up to
90/1). Regular visitors to this site will be aware that
we construct ratings on the better class races for meetings
held in most States seven days a week.

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTION: Are these ratings computer generated?
Not as such, They are a derivative of our SelfRate method
- but they are done manually every day (taking quite a
few hours per day!) as we use them in our own punting
adventures. We pride ourselves on the time and effort
we put in to these ratings - not just churning them out
for "a fast quid". We don't need to.
Some
subscribers dutch
bet with these as we do - other apply their own filters
to eliminate what they perceive as the weak links in the
chain .......your filters, if you choose to apply
them, are your choice. Some subscribers have
reported success betting on the top rated only if better
than $2.60 a place and playing "catch up" on
losses - others back them for a win if $4 or better with
the same staking approach. hey - it's entirely UP TO YOU!!
Quite
a few of oour subscribers are having succcess laying horses
NOT in the ratings that are layable below $4.00 - hey,
different strokes for different folks!
We
don't apply any additional filters other than those we
assess in rating each individual race to arrive at a rating
figure.
We have been using a dutching staking method outlined
elsewhere on this site - in fact full betting
sheets workout of our staking system can be accessed
by clicking here.
It is not for the faint hearted but we enjoy it and the
success it generates.
Here's
a sample of how it works for us:. overall, in the BETTING
period 4.12.08 to 27.2.09, until we broke our bank with
an inglorious run of 9 consecutive outs, there were 717
rated races (that were "bettable")
producing 235 winners (greater than $3.00)
at a strike rate of 32.77%. In the same period there were
many other place getters paying more than $3 a place with
some of them paying over $10 a place! Our overall profit
after declaring the bank "busted" we returned

There
were many other races that produced winners shorter than
$3.00 that we did not bet on and therefore did not consider
in the overall results. There are ENDLESS ways to use
these ratings - that's up to you. We don't impose our
betting methods on anyone.
We
send the ratings out via e-mail well in advance, covering
up to the top four rated horses
per race. If they do not meet our strict criteria, they
are not on the final list.
