Selfrate's horse racing handicapping software was first developed by us in late 2005 in consultation with an ex-pro whose originally quite large spreadsheets and mathematical values and formula have been converted into a user friendly interface.

Now, before going any further, a word of warning. This is a serious product for punters who wish to take activities and selection process to the "next level". It is NOT for someone with no knowledge of racing who thinks it might be a great idea to sit at HOME and make a living punting on the races with a "foolproof system". Those systems do not exist. We did a 402 race continuous test on this software in late 2006 and from all reports and feedback is still delivering the goods in 2009. Why 402 races? Because a sample of that size of more than 400 flattens out the "Bell Curve of Chance" to a large degree and results in a sample that is accurate and probably repeatable. An interesting question that I always get:
If these are so good why don't you use them?
I do but it is unlikely that you will punt on exactly the same races in the same manner and on the same tote as I do that it will decrease dividends to that any extent. Apart from all that I am not a big punter.

This programme is for the person who understands the incredible value of patience and discipline and the good fortune that exercising those qualities can bring over the LONG term.

When I can only get 5% on my money at the bank for 12 months investment, I'll take any of the above-listed Profit On Turnover figures for three weeks investment every day of the week.

Be prepared to start at low level betting until you are confident in the software and then, and only then, when you know you can be disciplined, become more adventurous.

Another question I get is: why don't you automate the inputting of the data? Well to do so would require a data "skimmer" module which, by my understanding of the copyright issues would make it illegal for a start. It then means if the data provider you are skimming from changes their data flow in ANY way, which they do occasionally, the programme would instantly be redundant.
