Metro Races system

There is no end to the range of Systems people have used over the years, heres another sample

A system we found many years ago that might be worth revisiting.

Rule 1 –  Metropolitan meetings only

Rule 2 –  Not to be used for               – 2 yo events or Maidens.

Rule 3 -Select those runners that finished either 1st or 2nd at there last start.

Rule 4 – If runner ran 2nd at it’s last start then it should not have benn more than than 5 lengths from the winner.

Rule 5 – The runner/s must not have finished worse than fifth place at  previous start.

Rule 6 – The runner/s must have raced last start at a Metropolitan track

Rule 7 – The runner/s must have a minimum WIN strike rate of 16%

Rule 8 – The runner/s must have a minimum PLACE strike rate of 45%

Rule 9 – The runner/s must have raced within the last 21 days.

Rule 10 – The runner must have won at least $2000 per race on average.  Total prizemoney = $10,000 divided by Total number of starts – 3 gives an average prize figure of $3333.33 approx.  (Editor:  I’d presume that ‘per race’ amount would be closer to $4000- nowdays)

Rule 11 – The runner must not be racing further than 200 metres above or 200 metres back in distance from it’s last start.

If a runner has NOT been eliminated by any of the above rules then they are a selection.

If there is more than one selection then your selection will become the runner with the race day’s lowest pre-post market price using your local paper or opening markets.

There will usually be more than 1 selection in a race and this gives you the best quality chances to work your bets around whether betting all selections for the same winning result or utilising 1 or more selections as your main bet/s and utilising other selections as insurance bets.

Good Luck
